Chelsea Lazkani filed for divorce from her husband, Jeffrey Lazkani, after nearly seven years of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by ET, the Selling sunsets star filed for divorce Tuesday morning in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Chelsea listed “TBD” on the date of their separation and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the dissolution of the marriage.
Chelsea and Jeffrey, who tied the knot on Aug. 12, 2017, share two children — 5-year-old son Maddox Ali and 3-year-old daughter Melia Iman. In her divorce filing, Chelsea is requesting alimony and attorney fees. She signed the divorce petition on March 21.
Jeffrey is a managing partner at a large media agency. According to his bio on the company’s website, “When he’s not strategizing about the media, he can be found relaxing with his wife and dogs, reading the latest thriller and listening to some tunes. Oh, and he’s a die-hard Lakers fan.”
As for Chelsea, she was introduced to the public after joining Season 5 of the hit Netflix show. She didn’t hesitate to share with her co-workers at the Oppenheim Group that she met Jeffrey on a dating app. The now-estranged couple also featured prominently on Selling sunsets, portraying an optimistic picture of their marriage. They even went on a double date or two with Jason Oppenheim. She wasn’t weird either causing tons of drama with some of your co-workers.
It’s been a week for current and former Selling sunsets stars. News of Chelsea’s divorce comes on the same day, Christine Quinn filed a request for a restraining order against her ex-husband, Christian Dumontet, after his arrest for alleged domestic violence. Christine and Christian were also featured in the Selling sunsetswho displayed his gothic style wedding.
