Bethenny Frankel was a victim of New York City’s punching epidemic.
In a now-deleted comment on a TikTok video of fashion design student Mikayla Toninato sharing her experience being assaulted, Frankel revealed that she was also randomly punched on a Manhattan street earlier this year.
“This is crazy because this happened to me a few months ago but I was embarrassed to say it,” the ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ alum, 53, wrote on Tuesday. “I used to be on the UWS (Upper West Side). Insane. I was recording a video of a bakery.”
Frankel’s remembrance comes after more than 25 women took to the video-sharing app to share their horror stories about being attacked in New York in broad daylight in recent months.
Influencer Halley Kate, who has 1.2 million followers on TikTok, posted a video on Monday showing a huge bump on her forehead.
“Guys, I was just walking and a man got up and punched me in the face,” she said through tears. “Oh my God, it’s so dangerous. I can’t even argue.”
In a subsequent post, Kate took a more detailed look at her damage, describing it as a “horn of Satan.”

The NYPD confirmed the incident to The Post, saying a 23-year-old woman had reported an attack at West XVI Road and Seven Avenue at 10:20 a.m. Monday.
Officers said Kate was treated at a medical center for injuries to the left side of her face.
Police said it was unclear whether the viral incidents were related.
However, the attacks appear to be a growing — and disturbing — trend in New York known as the “knockout game,” in which young people dare each other to punch a stranger.
Frankel did not share the extent of his accidents.
