Kate Middleton is getting help from her family during her cancer diagnosis.
“She has a really close group of friends and, especially in Norfolk, she really has close friends there,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Leisure Tonight in an interview published on Tuesday. “However, I feel that her real anchors in life are her mother and father… and her brother James… and her sister Pippa.”
“If you don’t actually see them photographed together often enough, there are a lot of them in the background,” she continued. “They are completely basic.”
James shared a message of help for his older sister following her surprise announcement featuring a throwback image of the pair as children.
“Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too ⛰️❤️,” he captioned the heartwarming post.
Nicholl also said that the Princess of Wales’ mother and father, Carole and Michael, are “relieved” that the cancer was detected in its early stages and feel “reassured by the fact that chemotherapy is preventive chemotherapy.”
“Catherine will have the best doctors on the planet looking after her, so she will be protected,” Nicholl argued.
“Carol and Michael, they have always been an extremely strong and also very down-to-earth couple… what they will do now is come together and support her – and not just William and Kate, (but) their grandchildren as well.”
In her cancer diagnosis announcement video, which Middleton, 42, shared on Friday, she said her husband, Prince William, has been by her side as a “great source of comfort and reassurance.”
Page Six has learned that the Prince of Wales, 41, withdrew from a memorial service honoring his late godfather, King Constantine II of Greece, in February after learning of Middleton’s illness.
The pair have since escaped to the Anmer Corridor in Norfolk with their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, to enjoy family time.
Middleton will not be part of the royal family at this year’s Easter service due to her ongoing chemotherapy therapy. It’s unclear whether William and his children will check it out.
Royalty’s unmissable extra protection:
According to a palace source, William is “doing his best” to balance his projects while his wife focuses on her health.
“One minute he’s running the varsity track and now he’s under unbelievable stress,” Page Six’s source added.
In fact, the announcement of Middleton’s research came a month after his father-in-law, King Charles III, revealed he was being treated for cancer.
