Will Smith took a question about his net worth and turned it into a philosophical session… but when pressed about how much he might be worth, the guy deflected.
The actor was questioned by Complex’s Morman fast if it were true, his net worth was $350 million as listed on Google… but Will laughed it off, saying he didn’t really keep track of that stuff. So, in other words, he neither confirmed nor denied.
Eventually, Will delved into the issue – but only elaborated on his mindset, saying that when he was coming to Hollywood, his goal was to make money. But not so much now.
He explained that he’s in the downsizing phase of life right now, but right now… he says all he wants to do is “give, give, give” in the second half of his life. Will says that many people come to this conclusion when they reach 50… going on to say that worldly things no longer satisfy them.
In fact, he calls this part of life scary – because he’s realized that no relationship, no money, not even his own children, can make him truly happy anymore.
Will goes full philosopher… saying, “This happiness is full-frontal, inner contact with the dark knight of the soul and you reconcile yourself to the fact that you need to be happy here. You need to be happy here without any of that stuff.” You have to bring happiness to the people you love – you can’t try to get it from them. … It’s not for the faint of heart.”
We know that Will has been through a lot over the last few years – so it’s interesting to see that he’s thinking this way now. But in terms of money… we all know the truth, the guy is rich.
