Did Tom Schwartz Hook Up With Scheana Shay While Dating Katie Maloney? Unfortunately, this appears to be the case.
Now, we’ve known for some time that Schwartz claims to have hooked up with Scheana during a trip to Las Vegas that occurred shortly after they met.
But Tuesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules shed new light on the situation, and it looks like this wasn’t some harmless, innocent make-out session.
Not only was Schwartz dating his future wife at the time of the lip lock, but he and Scheana are now offering conflicting accounts of the situation, plunging Katie into a difficult situation. Rashomon-like a nightmare where no one can be trusted and no memory can be trusted!

Obviously, it’s old news that Schwartz cheated on Katie during the wedding.
But one of last night’s VPR bombshells was the fact that he cheated on her before they were married – and to one of her best friends!
The revelation came as Schwartz defended fellow cheater Tom Sandoval in a conversation with Lala Kent.
“Everyone is mistaken. We all cheated, like, everyone did stupid things. I cheated, I was a slut, (I) hooked up with Scheana 12 years ago in Las Vegas,” Schwartz told Lala.
“It was a long time. It was the most innocuous thing ever, but I’m just saying we all, like, we all did (stuff),” Schwartz explained.
“Me and Katie were dating, but it was a difficult time,” he elaborated.
In a confessional, Schwartz revealed that he dug up the past because he wanted it to serve as a “reminder (that) we’re all human, (and) we all mess up sometimes.”
“This popped into my head the other day. Sometime late last year, (Scheana and I) were at a party around the holidays, and she said, ‘Do you remember when we kissed?’” he recalled.
“And I thought, ‘We kissed, right? We kind of kissed?
In her own confessional, Lala expressed shock that her friend Scheana had kept this secret for so long.
“Scheana and I have become extremely close,” she told producers.
“We became each other’s safe, and it seems strange to me that at no point did she say, ‘Girl, I need to tell you something. I need to spill some tea. Like what?”
When Lala asked Schwartz if he had ever told Katie all of this, he explained that he “didn’t know if I told Katie.” Then no.
“What the hell is that? Like, are you kidding me? I just have so many questions – like when was that?” an understandably angry Katie ranted in a confessional.
“And where exactly was that? And it was around this time that Schwartz said he went to Las Vegas and hooked up with one of Scheana’s friends, and was it really Scheana? Maloney said in a confessional.
Schwartz doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to the truth, so, not surprisingly, Scheana offered a very different account of the connection.
“What happened was me and Ariana (Madix) were there with my mom and my sister for her high school cheerleading competition, and Schwartz pulled me into the corner and kissed me,” Scheana explained to Katie.
“Saying someone tried to kiss someone instead of kissing someone is a different thing,” she added.
Really, something very different! Needless to say, this is a rather complicated situation.
And it will definitely get worse when Schwartz and Katie babysit Scheana later this season!
Maybe this show he does there’s more going on than just the Scandoval drama!
