After the tragic death of Garrison Brown, a funeral took place in March 2024 so that the young man could finally be laid to rest.
Although Garrison’s family released statements about his passing, information about how they planned to honor his life was kept private until well after the service.
Then, a few weeks later, a memorial service was held for Garrison by the National Guard in Las Vegas. O first family photos since his passing were posted after the event.

Garrison Brown, son of Sister Wives starring Janelle and Kody Brown, died by suicide on March 5, 2024.
Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff, Arizona Police Department confirmed the cause of death of People Magazine.
“On 3/5/2024, Flagstaff Police Officers responded to a report of a death inside a home.” FPD confirmed that Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, 22, “discovered Mr. Brown deceased” in an apparent suicide, suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The moving news was confirmed by his parents with messages on social media, as well as tributes from his brothers. Until Meri Brownone of Kody’s ex-wives, posted a tribute to Garrison following the news.
Kody Brown on Garrison’s death
“Janelle and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.”
This was the message Kody posted on his Instagram on the day the news of his son’s death broke. The message was a carbon copy from his ex-wife Janelle, which continued:
“He was a bright spot in the lives of everyone who knew him. Losing him will leave a hole in our lives so big it will take our breath away. We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
Kody has not made any further statements or posted anything additional about his son since.
Unfortunately, it appears that Kody and Garrison were not able to repair their relationship before his passing. In your final text message to family, Garrison alluded to his falling out with his family, a message that greatly worried his mother.
That message led her to ask her other children to check on him, and that’s how Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, sadly found his brother dead in their Arizona home.
Every detail of this story is tragic, to say the least.
Garrison’s funeral and who attended
According to an Instagram post shared by Garrison’s cousin Emma, the funeral took place on March 9, four days after the Sister Wives star committed suicide in Flagstaff, Arizona.
We were told that the entire family was gathered there for the service and to say a proper goodbye.
“Dear Robert, I had to dress up for your funeral today and that’s all I wish you had heard before I said goodbye,” Emma wrote in the caption alongside photos of her cousin, adding:
“I don’t even have a photo of you without your infectious smile. I don’t know if I have the right words to say that I will miss you.
“I wish I could give you a hug and tell you how much you were loved. You were human, you had flaws, but I never doubted the friendship we had.
The fact that the family kept the ceremony a secret was a little surprising to those in their inner circle.
A source who spoke to The sun before the cult claims that the Browns “do not let the laity rest in silence. It’s always a big, beautiful celebration nine times out of ten.”
With that in mind and given that Garrison is so beloved by his parents and brothers, the family source insists the funeral will “definitely be something.” Furthermore, the source added:
“I really hope they all come together and do this well.”
‘Sister Wives’ Family ‘Still Numb’
Shortly after Emma posted about the funeral, a family source spoke with InTouch Weekly to share more about the sad occasion.
Listening to them tell it, it was a very moving scene.
“Everyone was hugging and crying,” the source explained. “It was the hardest thing any of them had ever had to do, but sharing stories about Garrison helped them get through it.”
They confirmed that the entire family attended the funeral and hoped the reunion would be something Garrison would find joyful.
“Everyone hopes that Garrison has found the peace that seemed to elude him in his life,” the source said. “Although everyone is still numb with grief, they know he would be happy to see his family together.”
