Cardi B told a crazy story about LAPD officers searching her on suspicion of drug trafficking – but it looks like she was just barking… because there’s no record of that.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … whatever Cardi was complaining about on Monday – i.e. allegedly being detained by cops and being searched, etc. – does not appear to be based in reality… as our sources tell us there is no evidence that this occurred.
We’re told that different divisions combed through what she was describing – which was a rather incoherent ramble, TBH – it just doesn’t exist on any report sheets. Our sources insist that if something as dramatic as what she described happened, it would be documented.
Now that we know this… it seems pretty obvious that Cardi was just full of shit here — something she seemed to be telegraphing in the way she talked about all of this.
If you missed it… Cardi told a good story Monday on IG Live from the comfort of her home, and it included claims that she was pulled over in her car somewhere in Los Angeles, where she said cops suspected she had weapons and drugs in it. She then alleged that she was stripped naked while officers searched her thoroughly. Like we said, it seemed like a complicated story to begin with.
We reached out to Cardi’s reps, who had no comment.
