Margaret Kent realized that she wouldn’t end up with Joey Graziadei. On Monday’s season finale The Bachelorthe account executive booked a deductible first when she decided to pay Kelsey Anderson a visit after deducing that the other woman would be Joey’s choice.
Before the split, when looking back on their relationship, Joey said he had “no doubt that a life with Daisy would be special.” So, he took her to meet her family. The Graziadeis instantly liked Daisy, who told them she was “so sure” Joey was the one for her.
However, the fear that she wasn’t Joey’s choice continued to grow. When the pair had their last date, Daisy told the cameras that she wanted Joey to reassure her, and broke down because she felt Joey wasn’t “sure” of her. This seemed to be true when, during a spiritual ceremony, Joey said that she wanted the best for each of them, whether or not that meant they would be together.
Still, Daisy stuck it out through the night portion of the date and told Joey she loved him. Although Joey said Daisy’s revelation “means a lot,” she told cameras that she was “terrified” by the lack of validation she received following her confession.
After saying goodbye to Joey, in a confessional, Daisy said, “If I’m being 100% honest, I don’t think it’s me.”
“I felt like he was trying to prepare me for today,” Daisy said of her final conversations with Joey. “He said, ‘I’ve been in this position and I was completely blindsided.’ And then when he said that, I thought, ‘Oh, not me.’ Maybe I’m wrong, but today I have to be very strong, even though I want to fall apart.”
With that, Daisy knocked on Kelsey’s door. Daisy started by asking Kelsey about her week. After hearing about this and how Kelsey felt validated by Joey, Daisy told her that on her own date, “there was no form of validation.”
“I really think it’s Kelsey,” Daisy told the cameras, “but I’m not going to just walk away now, because what if I don’t?”
The women shocked viewers when they traveled in the same car for the final rose ceremony. Daisy started walking alone to find Joey.
She greeted him with a hug and Joey went on to talk about their strong bond. Daisy then took over, telling Joey, “I know you came into my life for a reason.”
“Falling in love with you has been so fun, and I love you, but the thing is, you won’t choose me,” she said. “Over the last few days, I’ve realized that you’re not my person… As much as it hurts, I know you said you want what’s best for me, so I’m going to do what’s best for me and leave. “
Joey began to cry, telling her, “You don’t know how special you really are… You deserve nothing but the best, and I really wish I could give that to you.”
With that, Daisy left, leaving Joey in tears. She returned to the car and gave Kelsey a hug, telling her about her late mother: “I know your mother will look down on this moment. She will be very happy.”
