Wow! Usher took the time to speak with a content creator this week! The singer, who normally avoids innanet rumors, criticized the creator for suggesting he tried to thank the Devil during a recent speech. In his responses, Usher made it clear that was not the case.

Here’s what the content creator said about Usher
On a video created and posted by Instagram user Marcos Hanalla (@youwontbelievemeofficial), the content creator suggests that “Usher almost thanked the Devil for his award on live television.”
The creator continued, “How come no one is talking about this? I mean, you can’t make this up. See this.”
The comments are a voiceover from a video of Usher’s NAACP speech earlier this month. He won in the ‘Artist of the Year’ category.

During a moment in his speech, he paused at the beginning of a word that began with the letter D. He said: “I am so honored to be able to receive this incredible award from… from the bottom of my soul.”
In the comments section of the creator’s post, Usher criticized the statements, affirmed God as his “lord and savior” and explained the pause in his speech.
“Get out of here!!! GOD is my lord and savior…the DEVIL is a lie!! You fucked me up!! Not today, sir… I never have time for that kind of shit, but today you’re going to hear it. So I was a little nervous and mixed up my words when I spoke from the heart…”
Usher continued, explaining that he “hates teleprompters” and during his speech they started rushing him.
“Everyone gets nervous, especially in this position. I was thanking N Double ACP and moving to the depths of my soul… when my words got mixed up. The devil is always at work… don’t let him use my boy. You suck for trying to share this.
