Tana Mongeau is having a good laugh at the expense of another internet star JoJo Siwa …who is now trying to be “bad” after years of being cute, cuddly, and kid-friendly.
Tana posted a video over the weekend mocking JoJo’s new song, “Karma” — in which she’s reciting some of the lyrics… and then questioning whether JS is really a “bad girl” now, as she proclaims.
There’s another video that Tana posted that continues to mock JoJo’s music… you can clearly tell that TM isn’t taking JoJo seriously, and she thinks she’s jumping the shark here.
Hard to blame Tana, if we’re being honest — the pivot JoJo is attempting here is a 180-degree turn from her girlish persona that she’s been rocking for years and years. Now, she’s swinging in the opposite direction the most… and for some, like Tana, it’s quite scary.
It’s safe to say it was certainly a shock to fans when she chose to wear a faux hawk and black makeup for her “Karma” music video — which she posted a preview of last week.

She even warned her followers that her new song would not be for children, noting in a message…”(It) may be disturbing or offensive to some viewers. It may contain sexual themes, violence, strong language, traumatic scenarios and flashing lights. “
She has previously hinted that her transformation is here to stay, referencing Taylor Swift‘Look What You Made Me Do’ – declaring that old JoJo is in ‘dreamland’.
Of course, JoJo isn’t the first child star to try to rock an edgier look as she enters adulthood. Definitely trying to imitate Miley Cyrus‘ It was “Wrecking Ball” – and it’s no secret that JoJo is a huge MC fan.

Either way, she’s clearly not bothered by the criticism… as she even reposted Tana’s giggly video to her 45+ million TikTok followers — so JoJo is definitely leaning into that.
It could be JoJo who has the last laugh… we’ll just have to wait and see!
