Quite possibly, one of the most serious injuries in combat sports history occurred over the weekend… when a Muay Thai fighter had his nose completely destroyed during a fight – and yes, the video is disgusting.
The terrible incident happened between By Tor Thor Petchrungruang It is Shayan Heydari in Thailand… when the latter was hit by a vicious uppercut in the second round of the competition.

Heydari’s nose practically fell to the side… and it was immediately clear that the thing was broken.
Heydari fell to his knees and covered his face because of his illness… and the fight was called off, with Petchrungruang getting the victory via technical knockout.
There were a number of serious injuries in the fights – former UFC champion Glover Teixeiraface being beaten Jamahal Hill January 2023 comes to mind – but this one is much worse.
Heydari will certainly go under the knife to fix his rearranged face… so he’ll probably be unconscious for a while while he recovers.
Just another example of fighters being built differently.
