Kate Middletoncancer diagnosis is activated President Biden‘s radar … as the White House press secretary addressed the news minutes after it was released.
Karine Jean-Pierre began his daily briefing on Friday by acknowledging that the White House had heard the news from Kensington Palace and said its thoughts were with the Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince William and the rest of the royal family
KJP wished Kate a full recovery and later said that she and the rest of the administration want to respect her privacy and would not comment further on the matter.
Jean-Pierre added that he would not answer questions about whether the president had spoken to any member of the Royal Family – wisely anticipating what would come next from the press – and then moved on to other matters.

It appears the news caught the White House just as off guard as the rest of the world… the Royal Family gave no indication of Kate’s health until she posted the video this morning at 11 a.m. PT telling the world about his diagnosis.
As we reported, Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January and she says that tests carried out after the surgery showed the presence of cancer. She started a round of preventative chemotherapy and only recently resurfaced in public.
President Biden has a close relationship with King Charles – discussing climate change last summer, on JB’s first visit to the UK after Charles was crowned King, and the First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden I actually met Kate while attending Charles’ coronation in May 2023.
So you have to imagine, if he hasn’t called yet, he will soon… to wish you good luck.
