KJP wished Kate a full recovery and said she and the rest of the government should respect her privacy and would have no further comment on the matter.
Jean-Pierre added that he would not answer questions about whether the prez had spoken to any member of the Royal Household – well anticipating what would follow from the press – and then moved on to another venture.

It appears the news caught the White House just as off guard as the rest of the world… the Royal House gave no indication of Kate’s well-being until she posted the video this morning at 11 a.m. PT, telling the world about his prognosis.
As we reported, Kate had stomach surgery in January, and she says scans were carried out after the surgery confirmed that most of the cancer was present. She started a round of preventive chemotherapy and just recently resurfaced in public.
President Biden has a deep relationship with King Charles – discussing climate change last summer on JB’s first visit to the UK after Charles was defeated as King, and the first woman, Dr. Jill Biden I actually met Kate while attending Charles’ coronation in May 2023.
So you have to think, if he doesn’t already know, he will quickly… effectively meet the needs.
