Celine Dion is participating in a hockey game!
On Thursday, the 55-year-old stepped out to watch the Boston Bruins take on the New York Rangers at TD Garden alongside her 13-year-old twin sons, Nelson and Eddy. She also shares René-Charles, 23, with her late husband, René Angélil.
Before the game, Dion and his boys visited the Bruins’ locker room so the singer could read the starting lineup to the players.
During the moment, which was posted by the Bruins on X, Dion mocked a player because of his state of undress, chanted the names of several athletes and made jokes about some names when announcing them.
“Now this is a legendary formation read,” the team wrote alongside the video.
As soon as the game started, Dion was shown on the jumbotron. She smiled, laughed and waved as the crowd cheered her on.
She then took a break from cheering on the Bruins to play Bon Jovi, while a clip showed the singer playing air guitar as Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” played throughout the arena.
Despite Dion’s support, the Rangers beat the Bruins 5-2.
This isn’t the first time Dion has had fun at a hockey game. In November, Dion and her three children I watched the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 in Las Vegas. Afterwards, the family visited the Canadiens locker room, which was a “memorable” experience, Dion wrote on Instagram.
Then, in February, Dion met with the Edmonton Oilers before their game against the Golden Knights, which the latter team won 3-1. The following month, the team posted about Dion’s hilarious visit on Instagram.
Dion’s recent exits come after your December 2022 announcement that she was diagnosed Rigid Person Syndrome, a rare and incurable neurological disease. Five months later, Dion canceled your tour.
In February, Dion made a surprise appearance at the GRAMMYs. The following month, Dion spoke about International Stiff Person Syndrome Awareness Day, promising to return to acting one day.
“Trying to overcome this autoimmune disorder has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day return to the stage and live as normal a life as possible,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my children, family, team and all of you! I want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world who have been affected by SPS. I want you to know that you can do this! We can do that!
