“Actual Housewives of Potomac” star Mia Thornton is getting serious about her decision to file for divorce from ex-husband Gordon Thornton last fall.
“I would like to say my breaking point was when he decided to publicly disgrace me,” the Bravolebrity, 39, only told Page Six’s “Digital Reali-Tea” podcast, explaining that derogatory comments made by Gordon, 71, in October 2023 took her to make her cut eternal.
“And I said, ‘OK, that’s not what we’re doing.’ And I filed it. Yes, I did it because I thought, ‘Let’s go ahead and make the clock tick,’” she adds. “I just don’t want to be a part of this.”
Mia and Gordon — who share son Jeremiah, 8, and daughter Juliana, 6, while she is mom and dad to teenage son Joshua from a previous relationship — split in June 2023, but didn’t publicly announce their separation until September of that year.
A month later, Gordon gave a crude interview to TMZ, revealing that he gave Mia a hallway to sleep with other men to “satisfy” her desires.
“I know there will come a time when I probably won’t be able to meet all of her needs,” he said in October 2023.
Gordon further claimed to the outlet that he told Mia she could “figure out what (she) wanted somewhere else” — while also noting that he was angered by her desire to walk away from their 11-year marriage.
“What really pisses me off about all of this is that I gave her permission, but she still chooses to sneak around, chooses to lie, chooses to repeatedly change her story about what’s happening and why she’s leaving me,” he partially mentioned.
Mia was outraged by such comments – but emphasizes that she would “never publicly disgrace” Gordon, noting that it is important that she protect his relationship with her two youngest children.
“I’m trying to attract him and we need to work together as a family. We now have these beautiful babies that we are raising and being a mother is the priority for me,” she says. “And I am very proud to carry this title of Supermother. And now we please the children. I need them to remain satisfied.”
Mia, who is currently an Incognito radio DJ, says she and Gordon have finally established a healthy co-parenting dynamic as they work out the details of their divorce.
“It’s going well. It’s snow. And I hope it stays that way. I don’t keep the kids away from Gordon. I want him to be a big part of their lives. I need him to continue being the children’s hero. You know, that’s their dad,” she says, divulging that things weren’t always pleasant.
“I told him, ‘Hey, if you don’t follow this system, you’re going to put me in a place where you won’t see your kids,’” she says, sharing the warning she gave her former manager. “Then choose a facet.”

Gordon quickly “became familiar with this system,” says Mia, and now incessantly joins the “Housewives” star on dates with her new boyfriend, radio DJ Incognito, and their children.
She told “Digital Reali-Tea” that she hopes to break up with Incognito – but dispels rumors that she and her boyfriend are getting married on April 4. Instagram users speculated that spring nuptials were in the works after she shared a “4.4.4 Caption” in December 2023 accompanied by loving sentiments.
“So there’s no wedding in April, okay? 444 is an angel number that he and I share. It’s what we feel that represents our connection,” she says of the number believed to be a sign of “love, support and guidance” from the next realm.
“We have marriage on our minds,” she says, “but I need to get a divorce first!”
Until then, Mia is happy to reconnect with Incognito, her high school boyfriend who she hung out with.
“He’s amazing in so many ways and… he knows Mia without all the appearance. He is aware of the core. I’m just glad he’s back in the mix,” she raves.
“He has his personal gift. He’s a syndicated radio character and is in over 20 markets, so he’s busy and busy trying to keep up with me – and I’m loving it.”
“The Actual Housewives of Potomac” airs Sundays at 8pm ET on Bravo.
