During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Lisa Rinnaknown for her eight-year stint O Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsshared an unexpected benefit she gained from the reality show: an enhancement to her acting career.
The 60-year-old star revealed that her experience in RHOBH it had a positive impact on his acting skills. “I’m acting again (and) I’m not kidding – you laugh, but it’s true. I think it made me a better actress,” she said during the interview.
Rinna, who has returned to scripted shows since leaving reality television, emphasized her influence in her upcoming Lifetime movie, Cruelest Momin which she stars alongside her daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin, 25. The film is based on true events and explores the complex dynamics of a mother-daughter relationship damaged by cyberbullying.
“Working with those women, going through that experience… I just made a film called Cruelest Mom, which I trained for for 8 years on that program,” Rinna said. “I definitely trained and had a lot to enjoy. I have a lot to learn after working for 8 years on that show, different psychologies of different women, I would never have discovered that if I hadn’t done that show.”
Rinna expressed gratitude for her time RHOBH but firmly stated that he would not return to the series. “No, never. No, I wouldn’t do that,” Rinna said quickly. “I’m grateful for this show. I’m the person I am today because of it, but I’m never going back. No, I did it. I did it, I did it, I saw the movie.”
Her departure from the show, announced in January 2023 after season 12 aired, marked the end of an era for the iconic reality star. Despite her departure, Rinna remains grateful for the support she received from viewers and fans.
Following her exit, Rinna received positive feedback from fans, which she found pleasantly surprising. “I didn’t expect that, I really didn’t,” Rinna shared in a previous interview with People. “That’s what surprised me most about everything.”
