Landon Barker is pouring his heart and soul into his new music.
The 20-year-old rocker — son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler — released a new track, “Over You,” on Thursday, dealing with the pain of a broken heart and moving on after a failed romance .
The song is an emotional breakup song, with lyrics like: “I can’t move on / I miss you now that you’re gone / But I’ll get over you.”
In a press release issued Thursday afternoon, Landon commented on the meaning of the new track, sharing, “Some people you will never get over until the day you die. ‘Over You’ is a breakup song that resonates with me personally, and I hope it resonates with you too.”
The track comes just over a month after Landon revealed that he and Charli D’Amelio had given up after a year-long romance.
In a surprising announcement, Landon revealed via his Instagram Story in February that he and Charli broke up.
“Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that Charli and I are no longer together,” he wrote. “We broke up to focus on ourselves.”
He went on to share that despite the split, they remain on good terms. “We are still friends and have a lot of love for each other,” he expressed.
“I am extremely grateful for the time we shared and I hope you respect our decisions,” Landon continued. “Thank you, I love you all so much.”
Charli, 19, and Landon, 20, first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted leaving the musician’s Los Angeles concert together in June 2022 and made it social media official in July.
The duo, affectionately nicknamed “Chardon” by TikTok users, became a fixture on red carpets and frequently offered glimpses of their lives together on social media.
