Now, fans are seeing more of Mauricio’s side of things thanks to the new season of Shopping in Beverly Hills – which was in production when the split made headlines. At the beginning of the season, the two were open about some of the issues they were going through, and by the end, they had to be brutally honest about everything with their daughters in often painful conversations.

In the premiere, the cracks began to show – although Mo began his comments about his wife in a more optimistic and gentle way.

“I have always been a dreamer. I just wanted to give life to my family. The trip was magical, stunning, but it still is,” he said in a confessional. “I’ve been married to Kyle for 27 years and he’s my best friend, she’s the love of my life, she’ll always be the love of my life. That will never change.”

But later in the episode, the two were seen on camera together talking about their very busy schedules.

“I have been very worried and the journey clearly impacts us. You’re working hard and we’re very busy and it’s been very tense,” he said, before admitting he was “spreading myself mean really thin” in a confessional.

“I’ve been everywhere. My wife has been everywhere,” he continued. “I’ve been trying to be like a macho man and never specify everything I’m going through with my kids and my wife and it’s starting to become one of those things where it’s just too big and too much. amount for me to handle.

In the show’s second episode, he talked a little more about how difficult it was for them to make time for each other during a boys trip to Palm Springs.

“I’ve had an incredible life as a married man. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. In a confessional, he also pointed out how they never really had time together without kids around, as Kyle already had daughter Farrah when they got together. “We’ve been coparenting since I was 25,” he said, explaining that they now needed to “learn how to bond with our kids.”

In episode 3, the comments began to change as the space between them seemingly continued to grow. After he returned from Palm Springs and Kyle returned from a solid trip to Spain for RHOBH, the two said they couldn’t even remember where each other was during their respective getaways.

“With Kyle, I’m starting to feel like she’s a little off. I definitely reached out and wanted to kiss her and she kind of said no,” Mo said in a confessional. “I’m starting to see it and really feel it and I’m not there. I’m still 100% fighting for our relationship and thinking about being married to her for the rest of my life.

As they continued to talk about how busy they were, Kyle added that he was heading to Nashville to shoot a music video for good friend Morgan Wade.

“I’m sitting here realizing that maybe Kylie isn’t in love with me anymore, right? And she doesn’t love me the way she liked me and that hurts. There’s no doubt it hurts,” Mo said in a confessional shown immediately afterwards — although it’s unclear whether that statement actually had anything to do with Morgan.

For what it’s worth, Mo later said he didn’t assume there was any reality to the “Kyle is sleeping with Morgan” rumors, before joking, “Maybe I’m the only idiot who doesn’t do that. I don’t consider that.” He did, however, admit that he thought the pair “without a doubt have some kind of connection, there’s no doubt about that.”

Their secret split made headlines over the Fourth of July holiday weekend when Kyle, Mo and their daughters were in Aspen together for a family trip. The news broke as they were about to go paddle boarding together, and although the cameras weren’t rolling at that time, they got up later that night when everyone was back home.

There wasn’t much more about the couple’s marriage problems until the season finale, where Mauricio was seen opening up to a colleague about the current state of their relationship.

“It’s really intense, unhappy and taxing. She took full control of the high ground. I’m still living in the room,” he said of his residence situation as they continued to cohabitate amid the separation.

“If there is any possibility of reconciliation, I feel like I will have to leave to find out if I miss her? Don’t I miss her? Is it time for her to move on with her life? he continued, before mentioning how connected all the media attention was making him.

The episode ended with him saying he just wanted to “be alone” while thinking about “spending time in Aspen.”

Although the pair are still living together, Kyle admitted at the recent RHOBH reunion that if anyone had to leave, it would be Mauricio — and said he was already looking for a place.
