Karen Huger is facing major problems with the law.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star was arrested Tuesday night for DUI and DWI after a crash in Maryland.
According to legal documents, the Bravo personality was driving her 2017 Maserati when she was pulled over by the Montgomery County Police Department at 11:50 p.m.
She was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol and is scheduled to appear soon for a mandatory court appearance.
TMZ reports that the 60-year-old also faces charges of negligently operating a vehicle in a careless and reckless manner, endangering property, lives and persons…. as well as driving a vehicle recklessly with wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property.
That’s not all either.
Huge has also was accused of:
Failure to control vehicle speed on the highway to avoid a collision…driving a vehicle above the reasonable and prudent speed on the highway…driving a vehicle on the highway with suspended registration…and failing to notify management of change of address within 30 days.
Authorities allege Huger crossed a median Tuesday, crashing into several street signs in a one-vehicle accident that fortunately did not result in any injuries.
Authorities told TMZ that Huger was allegedly driving in an “aggressive manner” before the collision.
She later issued a statement to the aforementioned celebrity gossip website.
“Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes during this very frightening experience,” she said.
“I’m still in shock from last night’s incident, but grateful to be alive today. With the passing of my Beloved Mother, the grief comes and goes in waves, and as Mother’s Day approaches, it feels more like a tsunami.
Huger – whose parents died within seven months of each other in 2017 – continued on Wednesday
“Last night I met a girlfriend for dinner, we talked and raised some very emotionally delicate topics. I was crying on the way home and I saw a car coming straight towards me.
“I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hit the divider and then a tree.
“I’m hurt, a little bruised, but so grateful to be alive! I received citations, one of which was unrelated to the incident, which is understandable, but the most surprising thing is that the car that almost hit me simply drove away!
Huger finished by reminding everyone to “underestimate your emotional state” when driving.
She then credited her mother, who she called her “Guardian Angel,” along with her seat belt, for saving her life.
