Mighty angels of truth
Johnny Deepisn’t taking accusations from a former co-star lying down… he’s hitting back at an actress who called him out for treating her badly on the set of “Blow.”
The actor’s rep is coming out swinging, saying Lola GlaudiniJohnny’s allegation was verbally abusive during the filming of a specific scene in the 2001 film – saying: “Johnny always prioritizes good working relationships with the cast and crew and this account differs greatly from the recollections of other members on set at the time. “
As for Lola’s side of the story… she actually said this in January during the “Powerful Truth Angels” podcast, but it resurfaced online. During the appearance, she claimed that Depp attacked her after the director Ted Demme told her to burst out laughing at one of her lines.
According to Lola, Depp did not realize that she was following Demme’s instructions, leading him to think that she was intentionally interrupting his scene.
Lola’s full description of the alleged incident is definitely not for children’s ears – “Johnny Depp, when they say cut, come at me, come at me, stick your finger in my face – and I’m in a bikini on the floor like this – and he comes over and says, ‘Who the hell do you think you are? Who the hell do you think you are? Shut up. I’m here and I’m trying to say my lines, and you’re pulling focus.
Need some more F-bombs? Why not? Lola claims the rant continued… “You idiot. Who the hell do you think… Oh, now, oh, now isn’t that so funny? Now can you shut up? Now can you f** *Go shut up ? Oh, isn’t it funny now? The silence you are now, that’s how you are.'”
She says she was just trying to hold back tears after he shouted in her face – and claims Depp “didn’t apologize” afterwards.
In addition to issuing the statement in defense of Johnny, Depp’s representative says that a sound technician from “Blow” Sam Sarkarsupports Johnny’s version of events… saying he doesn’t remember anything about Lola’s statement.
