What happened in Vegas did NOT stay in Vegas!
A young man turned to the Internet for advice after a fight with his roommate over a pop culture-inspired stunt he pulled in his house.
Clearly not heeding the advice right there in the title of his inspiration – Ashton Kutcher film What happens in Vegaswhich to be fair leaves out the implied “stay in Las Vegas” – the man emulated the behavior of said on-screen movie star by urinating in the kitchen.
To make matters worse, the stunt was performed as an act of retaliation against his roommate’s girlfriend. The disgusting behavior certainly didn’t sit well with the original poster’s housemate (aka “OP”) or his own girlfriend.

OP started the post with a very conversational tone, which seemed acceptable considering what he was about to expose.
“If you’ve seen What Happens in Vegas, that’s exactly what I mean. That’s where I got the idea,” he began.
The younger man then went on to provide some background information about all of this.
“My roommate, Cassie, Dave’s girlfriend, stays there all the time and he or she monopolizes the bathroom every morning. I spoke to him about it and presented as much as she did. This is not a unique prevalence. It seems like every time she stays overnight I have to carry my urine until I get to work. I hate it and I’m starting to hate her.”
Then your moment of inspiration has arrived.
The only distinction is that I’m elegant. I clear the dishes before pissing in the kitchen sink.
“My girlfriend and I watched that movie the other day and it gave me the right answer. The only distinction is that I’m elegant. I take the dishes off before I piss in the kitchen sink.”
Apparently this goes unnoticed for quite a while, before an aspect of their daily behavior begins to attract doubt.
“A few days ago, Dave and Cassie asked me why I piled dirty dishes outside the sink every morning. I was honest and said that I wanted to piss and that since she locked herself in the bathroom, I once again did what needed to be done.
This actually didn’t go down well: “They were both disgusted and said I was a disgusting pig and that an adult should be able to keep it. I mentioned that I would give a shit about her opinion as soon as she paid the rent right here. Dave snorted. But then he tried to criticize again.
“Now Dave is upset with me because Cassie isn’t staying the night and he hates staying the night at her house because she lives with her aunt. It’s a complete factor.”
He then concluded his post by giving his own important opinion on all of this: “My girlfriend thinks it’s funny, but she won’t take my side. She said something funny in a movie is different in real life. But she sympathizes, as she too suffered from Cassie, the bathroom pig.

Even More Disgusting Reddit Recommendations
While almost no one on the AITA forum (I’m the idiot) thought OP was wrong, some had even more twisted stunts they’d like him to pull.
The top-rated comment on the post started out innocuous enough, but soon took a sharp turn: “Frankly, I think peeing in the sink is gross. Holding in my pee until I get to work or peeing alone because someone doesn’t live there or doesn’t pay rent yet isn’t a good thing. Cassie and Dave can hit the sand. NTA. (And if Cassie left her purse or sneakers in the room, I would just pee in her purse or sneakers too).”
When another Redditor doubted that they actually pee in the bag, the commenter responded, “I’m a woman so it might be hard, but I could probably teach you very quickly to stop hogging the bathroom.”
If Cassie left her purse or sneakers in the living room, I would just pee in her purse or sneakers too.
While another suggested: “Remove the door. Now it’s just a men’s room. No friends allowed.
When one commenter seemed perplexed and asked why he didn’t “pee in the bottle like a normal person?” OP responded, “That’s not a phrase I assumed I’d ever learn.”
“May I recommend cans of tennis balls instead of peeing in the sink?” suggested another Redditor. “They are a favorite with detectives on surveillance, they have a large mouth, an almost airtight seal and enough quantity to accommodate enough liquids for a morning piss.”
But that wasn’t all, as there was a vindictive element to it all: “Then leave the can next to the bathroom if it’s still there. They will empty it for you, or you can do it when you return.”
Others simply needed to check that he properly rinsed the sink after his morning workout.
We haven’t reached out to Ashton Kutcher for comment on this little domestic drama.
