The Infiniti QX80 has received a redesign for the 2025 model year, and the full-size SUV finally gains the looks and features to take on offerings from established luxury brands.
Buyers will have to pay a premium, however. The 2025 QX80 will be in showrooms this summer with prices starting at $84,445, including a $1,995 destination charge. This has increased considerably the 2024 model Starting price $76,045.
The new QX80 represents the third iteration of the nameplate. It was viewed last year with the QX Monograph Concept, a vehicle whose styling has been faithfully transferred to the production model. Slim multi-LED daytime running lights that Infiniti describes as digital keys sit on the front edge of the hood, below which are the main driving lights in separate clusters that flank the latest version of Infiniti’s double-arch grille.
The sides are a clear evolution of the previous QX80, with the designers even keeping the QX80’s front fender portholes. However, the overall design is brought into the modern era with cleaner surfaces and sharper shoulder lines. The rear adopts taillights that run the entire width of the body, and Infiniti repeated its digital motif here to add extra character.

The interior marks a much more radical departure from the previous model’s design. Infiniti has really stepped up its game in the QX80’s interior, with modern digital screens blending seamlessly with surrounding areas comprised of traditional materials like leather, suede, and wood.
A pair of 14.3-inch screens sit atop the dashboard, serving as the gauge cluster and infotainment hub. The infotainment system is powered by Android and has Google built in, meaning popular apps like Google Maps, Google Assistant and Play Store are included.
A third screen, measuring 9.0 inches, is mounted on the center console and has controls for the climate settings as well as the front seats. The screen features haptic feedback, but buyers tend to prefer real buttons and knobs for commonly used functions. Below this screen are button controls for the transmission, and the driver has additional controls on the multifunction steering wheel.
A head-up display is available, and buyers can also add camera monitors to both the exterior and interior. Infiniti has gone to great lengths to improve outward visibility with the multi-angle surround monitor. See-through hood technology and a forward view function that provides a 170-degree view of the front and sides of the vehicle will make tight parking maneuvers and tricky off-road trails easier.

2025 Infiniti QX80
The 2025 QX80 offers seating for seven or eight people, and according to Infiniti, there’s more knee room in each of the three rows. Cargo space has also increased, although Infiniti did not provide measurements. A power tailgate is fitted as standard. For audio fans, Infiniti has added a premium sound system from Klipsch of America as default. It comes with 14 speakers in its standard configuration, but a 24-speaker version is available.
Like its predecessors, the 2025 QX80 uses a body-on-frame platform. To improve handling, engineers installed independent suspension with double wishbones front and rear. Air suspension and adjustable shock absorbers are available. A set of 20-inch wheels is standard, but 22-inch wheels are available.
One big difference between the new QX80 and the previous model is the installation of a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 as standard across the lineup. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and generates 450 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. That’s up considerably from the QX80’s 5.6-liter V-8, which produced 400 hp and 413 lb-ft. Towing capacity is 8,500 pounds when properly equipped.
Infiniti will offer the 2025 QX80 in Pure, Luxe, Sensory and Autograph versions. The Pure has a base price of $84,445, while the Luxe starts at $91,545. Rear-wheel drive is standard on both, and adding all-wheel drive costs $3,100. The Sensory and Autograph come standard with all-wheel drive and cost $102,640 and $112,590, respectively. All prices include destination.
Redesigned versions of Nissan Navy and Patrol twins were developed alongside the new QX80. As with the current generation, Nissan’s new SUVs will likely be closely related to the new QX80, including sharing its platform and powertrain.
