Travis Kelce is remembering a “really fun night” at his friend’s Justin Timberlakein One Night Only Show in Los Angeles, California.
“Honestly, everyone knows I’m a huge JT fan,” Travis said on Wednesday’s episode of his New heights podcast. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end co-hosts the show with his brother, the Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce.
Travis was sure to promote Timberlake’s new album, Everything I thought I waswhile stating that the artist “always makes unbelievable music.”
The 34-year-old athlete was among those treated to a surprise *NSYNC reunion during Timberlake’s show at The Wiltern, when the group teamed up to release their new song, “Paradise.”
“He was playing a bunch of covers of his old classics, absolute hits,” Travis said. “It was so cool to see him play some of my favorite songs, man, and a handful of his new songs on top of that.”
He continued, “It was a really fun night. I can’t complain. Any time you see Justin Timberlake perform, I suggest you buy a ticket, man. He’s the best.”
Travis, 34, was first spotted inside the event when music producer Khris Riddick Tynes appeared to inadvertently capture the athlete swaying to music in the background of an Instagram video. Kelce was later photographed wearing a green patterned sweater as he left in the car.
His girlfriend, Taylor Swiftdidn’t appear to be with him during the show, although it appeared Travis returned to his home in Beverly Hills.
The Super Bowl champion had a big event when Timberlake welcomed his ex *NSYNC boy bands – Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Low Bid It is Chris Kirkpatrick — to the stage. The group performed their new song, “Paradise”, which will be featured on Timberlake’s upcoming album, Everything I thought I was. They also delighted the audience with live versions of their 2000 hits “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.”
Chrissy Teigen It is John Legend were also among those present in the star-studded crowd. Eagle-eyed fans also spotted Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean swinging in the audience.
Travis and Timberlake have been acquaintances for a long time and recently exchanged compliments after the former named the latter as the “most famous” person on your phone.
Travis joked in January that there was “no chance” Timberlake would answer the phone if he called.
Directing his comments directly at Timberlake, Travis added, “I appreciate you!” and explained that the singer is “a busy man”.
Timberlake later responded in an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“We text,” he clarified. “I don’t want to bother him. He’s busy right now. He’s in the mood.”
Timberlake and Travis have notably teamed up on several occasions, joining Jimmy Fallon It is Patrick Mahomesrespectively, to face each other in celebrity golf tournaments.
During your interview in Tonight’s programTimberlake and Fallon recalled a memorable outing with Chiefs players that saw the late-night host hit an epic bunker shot — while the musician got a little too excited.
“I saw my life flash before my eyes,” admitted Timberlake, recalling the moment his body collided with Travis’s in celebration.
“He went up and did one of those, like, when they jump, and I thought, ‘He’s doing that, I have to do that!’ and I forgot that he weighs about 80 pounds more than me,” Timberlake said.
In the hilarious clip, Timberlake jumps up to bump Kelce’s shoulders and is immediately thrown to the ground with his feet flying into the air.
Likewise, Taylor has seemed close to Timberlake in the past, bringing the singer on stage during her 1989 world tour in 2015 to perform her song, “Mirrors.”
On Wednesdays New heightsTravis hinted that he and Timberlake might get together for another round of golf in the near future.
“It was really cool meeting him in Tahoe and playing golf with him,” Travis said of their friendship. “I’m even going to try to go golfing in Las Vegas here in a few weeks.”
Travis has been spotted in Los Angeles numerous times in recent weeks during his NFL off-season. When recording the podcast, he hinted that his busy schedule could interfere with future episodes of the show.
“We’ll keep trying to get these episodes out to you every Wednesday – but let’s get out of the house, ladies and gentlemen,” he joked. “So I don’t know if we’re going to keep bringing you these things every week, but we’re going to try.
