Travis Kelceapparently has his eye on moving his tight end to a new seat… he’s now in talks to become a game show host in the very near future.
The Kansas City Chiefs star and Prime Video representatives are working to reach a deal that would make the three-time Super Bowl champion the face of an “Are you smarter than a fifth grader?” restart, according to Variety.
The outlet reported Tuesday, however, that it’s far from a foregone conclusion… as there is at least some concern on the part of suits that Kelce wouldn’t be able to do the job properly if he continued his NFL career. .
Jeff Foxworthy hosted the show’s first iteration on Fox in 2007. John Cena then took over hosting duties years later when a new version of the show arrived on Nickelodeon.
The program was popular – because, in part, it tested adults’ knowledge of information typically taught to elementary school students.
Variety reported on Tuesday that the new version of Prime Video would feature celebrity contestants.
Of course, if Kelce gets the role…it would hardly be her first foray into the world of television. He was once the center of a reality show called “Catching Kelce.” He also famously hosted “Saturday Night Live” last year. And don’t forget, he appears on camera weekly with his brother, Already arefor his ultra-popular podcast ‘New Heights’.
If Kelce is worrying about the negotiations, he’s not showing it much… because he’s rumored to be in the Bahamas with Taylor Swift at the moment – and, yes, it’s kind of hard to focus on the business there.
