Kris Jenner’s lesser-known niece, Natalie Zettel, expressed her grief in a moving tribute to her late mother, Karen Houghton, who has died aged 65.
“I can’t imagine you (sic) are gone. It doesn’t even seem real. I keep hoping I can hug you or kiss you or hear your voice one last time,” Zettel began a long caption on Instagram Tuesday, which she wrote alongside a carousel of images of Houghton.
“You have been my best friend, my everything. The best mother a daughter could ask for and I’m so grateful to have had a mother like you,” she continued.
“You have essentially been the kindest, sweetest, loving, generous, caring soul. You had the most important coronary heart.
The up-and-coming model, 25, did not share the reason for her mother’s death, although she noted that it was extremely surprising, adding, “It all happened so fast and I wasn’t prepared for you to be able to go.”
“And I don’t know how anyone can go on without you. … I really like you, mom, and you will be forever missed,” she concluded.
Jenner, from whom Houghton was mostly estranged, announced her sister’s death on Tuesday.

“It is with a heavy heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away unexpectedly yesterday,” the famous momager, 68, wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post alongside a slideshow of relationship photos posing with Houghton at the over the years.
“My heart aches for my mother MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us through this difficult time. Karen was lovely inside and out.”
Despite the emotional tribute, it’s unclear whether Jenner and Houghton, who once described her older sister as “not at all warm and good-natured,” have made up.
They were, however, seen posing with other relatives in a photo shared to Instagram Stories on Christmas 2019.
