So ditch the drive-thru and gather your family around this flavor-packed casserole. It’s a guaranteed pleasure for everyone!
Ingredients you need
Both for the casserole itself and the tasty homemade Big Mac sauce that’s mixed in!
Big Mac Sauce:
- Mayonnaise: The base of our creamy, dreamy Big Mac sauce.
- Sweet Pickles: It adds a burst of tangy sweetness, just like those crunchy pickles on your Big Mac.
- White vinegar: A touch of sharpness to balance the richness.
- Garlic and onion powder: For a touch of savory flavor.
- Paprika and Turmeric: Warm spices that bring a subtle touch of smoke.
- Sugar: A hint of sweetness to bring it all together.
Casserole:
- Oil: Leaves our ground beef sizzling.
- Minced meat: The main protein in the Big Mac casserole. I used lean ground beef!
- Onion: Cut into cubes and cook until soft and caramelized.
- Worcestershire Sauce: It brings out all the flavors of the casserole.
- Frozen Hash Brown Potatoes: Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside!
- Cheddar cheese: Therefore, the casserole has a melty, gooey quality to every bite.
- Shredded Iceberg Lettuce: For a little more crunch.
- Dill pickles: Sliced thinly for that iconic burger flavor (add more if you like pickles!).
- Diced white onion: An extra bite, just like the original burger.
- Hamburger Bun Croutons: Crispy, toasted pieces that add extra texture. A souvenir of the bun (which you won’t lose).
- Sesame seeds: The final touch, a hint of nutty flavor!
