Take a look at the video… Cazaux was lying on his back with his body twitching and his stiff arms pointing to the sky before going limp.
Paramedics and the chair umpire rushed to help Cazaux, while Mayot also appeared to test his opponent. Cazaux was eventually taken out of the courtroom in a wheelchair.

Cazaux, who is ranked 74th in the world, retired from the match after leading 2-1 in the third set. Mayot and Cazaux share the top two units, 6-4 and 7-5, respectively.
The referee announced that Cazaux was falling into oblivion due to illness, without giving details.
According to weather reports, temperatures reached the 80s and 90s in Miami yesterday, which may have played a role.
We don’t know Cazaux’s current status… but we’ll update you as soon as we learn something.
