Paul Pierce is just the latest celebrity to fall victim to Los Angeles’ burglary epidemic… the former NBA star’s home was broken into on Friday night, and the perpetrators escaped with luxury watches and more than $100 thousand in cash.
Police sources say TMZ Sports The 46-year-old’s 10x NBA All-Star pad was hit when Pierce wasn’t home, and an impressive amount of personal treasures were stolen.
Among the stolen items were expensive watches, six figures in cash and a safe… which police are currently trying to trace.
As for the criminal investigation, we’re told that cops have been combing through crime scene videos in hopes of finding critical evidence that will crack the case.
No arrests were made.
Although he’s the most recent, he’s not the first big-name star to have his personal spaces violated and his belongings stolen… it’s been a problem in the City of Angels for years.
Post Malone, Bella Thorne, Yasiel Puig, Rihanna, Quentin Tarantino, Drake and so many other stars fell victim.
In fact, the LAPD recently talked about “thieve tourists” from South America who travel to Los Angeles just to hit luxury mansions.
Police say the rings sometimes use high-tech equipment, such as jammers, to bypass security systems.
It’s unclear whether one of those rings is behind Pierce’s robbery.
The Truth, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, played 19 seasons in the NBA, averaging nearly 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 rebounds. Pierce won a title with the Celtics in 2008.
