Bruno Marte’ financial life was in the headlines this week after NewsNation claimed he owes MGM at least $50 million. The report cited a “well-placed Las Vegas insider,” but it appears the gambling debt scoop was nothing like that.
A representative from MGM International Resorts came forward to clarify Bruno Mars’ ties to their business, for TMZ.

MGM denies reports Bruno Mars is in debt
Social media was already struggling with the credibility of the report. Mainly because Bruno has a long-standing relationship with the company, including his residence at Park MGM and the opening of his cocktail lounge in 2024 – this is the relationship cited by the TMZ rep in denying that Bruno is sitting on $50 million in hole with them.
The representative not only denied the existence of such a debt, but also confirmed his enthusiasm for future collaborations with the signatory. This included the extension of his Vegas Park MGM residency, which he announced in December. His residency was set to expire in August, but he added five new shows that took place last month.
“We are proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the most exciting and dynamic artists in the world. From his Dolby Live shows at Park MGM to the new Pinky Ring lounge at the Bellagio, Bruno’s brand of entertainment attracts visitors from around the world.”
The NewsNation report also claimed that Bruno’s residence earned him $90 million, but that MGM collected most of the coins.
“He makes $90 million a year from the deal he made with the casino, but then he has to pay off his debt… after taxes (Mars makes $1.5 million a night),” NewsNation reported.
But the MGM rep says that’s not the case. Although the representative did not highlight Bruno’s earnings, he assured the public that he was not collecting any coins on the backend.
“The partnership between MGM and Bruno is long-standing and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation to the contrary is completely false; he has no debts to MGM. Together, we are excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.”
PEOPLE reached out to Bruno Mars’ representatives for comment but did not receive a response. At this time, the ’24K Magic’ singer has not publicly commented on the debunked news via his social platforms.
