Chelsea Blackwell You’re telling the truth! After getting almost no screen time during the Season 6 reunion of Love is blindthe Netflix star took to several podcasts to share his side of the story and his involvement with Jimmy Presnell.
Chelsea spoke about their most viral moments of the season on Rubbing Out with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad podcast, specifically the pod scene where she shared that people have compared her to the actress Megan Fox.
“That’s my biggest regret. I didn’t care that I cried. I didn’t care that I was emotional. None of that mattered,” Chelsea said. “What mattered was the stinking comment that turned my whole world upside down. So I’m sorry!”
Chelsea added that she often forgot the camera crews were there, joking, “I felt so bad for the cameramen. They were like, ‘Oh my God, did she just say that?'”
She noted that she is normally a very confident person, but explained, “I was in this relationship where I had no security.”
As for the current status of her relationship with Jimmy, she joked that there might be a “situation” going on with her ex.
“No, we are not (together),” she said. “We’re just…hanging out.”
“Are there benefits to leaving?” one of the co-hosts asked.
“Yes, he’s a great friend,” Chelsea replied, laughing.
“So you’re not technically in a relationship, but you’re not, you’re not seeing each other?” another co-host clarified.
“Yes, that’s a great way to put it,” Chelsea said.
However, during an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of The Viall files podcast with Nick Viall, Chelsea did not hint at any potential romance with Jimmy.
“We are just friends. There is absolutely nothing happening,” she insisted. “I saw what I needed to see. I’ve been told ‘no’ multiple times, so I’m not doing that shit again.”
Chelsea also shared that she didn’t anticipate the backlash she received this season, claiming: “I thought I would get dragged for hooking up with him. And it ended up being completely the opposite… This whole time I was preparing myself for, ‘OK, people are just going to drag you for not hearing the sounds and seeing the signs that this guy didn’t like you.
Chelsea admitted she missed the warning signs in her relationship, saying, “I was looking at our relationship through these rose-colored glasses. I was just seeing what I wanted to see and hoping it would get better, but it never did.”
As for Jimmy’s edit on the show, Chelsea said her ex “got lucky” with Netflix’s appearance.
“He was very concerned about his editing and I was preparing him on how to deal with it,” Chelsea said. “What I don’t know. I’m new here. I don’t know what to do with my hands. I didn’t expect it.”
Chelsea continued to insist that Jimmy was, in fact, coming out more than he was shown or even more than they said on camera.
Ultimately, Jimmy called things off days before the pair were set to walk down the aisle. And although they tried dating for four days after the split, they both gave up.
All six seasons of Love is blind are currently streaming on Netflix.
