Christina Applegate and Jimmy Kimmel also get a definitive – and hilarious – answer from Martin Short about which of them he loves most.
Cristina Applegate pushed the Jimmy Kimmel live! viewers a little more than they were comfortable with during her hilarious look on Monday night, emphasizing the importance of normalizing the way you can interact with people with disabilities.
She came out with a cane and took Kimmel’s arm to sit down and then immediately disarmed a room that seemed able to empathize and feel what they felt along with her about his multiple sclerosis prognosis.

Once she hit the chair, she told Kimmel, “I was thinking, wouldn’t it be funny if I went out and did a somersault like Willy Wonka and then I said, ‘Ta-da!’ You’d be like, ‘What a bitch, she’s a liar!’”
She then assured viewers: “I’m not. In fact, I am disabled.
They didn’t laugh or know what to do, which would become a common refrain throughout her look.
“I noticed from our text exchanges that you have a very unhealthy sense of humor,” Kimmel said.
“That’s how I live,” Applegate responded. “That’s how I stay good… Otherwise I’d be like, ‘Wah-wah-wah,’ all the time.”
Kimmel agreed with her, but the audience – many of whom probably fell in love with her at one of her comedic performances, starting in Married… with children for Useless to me – however, I wasn’t sure how you can take it.
“I mean, it sucks. I mean, I’m not going to lie,” Applegate said about living with multiple sclerosis. “I don’t think anyone who has multiple sclerosis is going to think, ‘This is the best thing that ever happened to me.’ It certainly isn’t, because that could mean you have a terrible life, if that’s the right thing.
At that time, she even turned around to tell the class, “That was a joke,” before lamenting, “You don’t understand me.” Later in the interview, she turned back to the lukewarm audience and said, “You guys are…amazing,” with sarcasm at its highest.

Origins of the MeSsy podcast
Sometimes the coolest thing to do is jump into something you know absolutely nothing about. When Kimmel asked Applegate if any current podcasts inspired the creation of his new one, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, MessyApplegate revealed that she never heard any.
“I think this is one of the simplest ways to do it,” she joked. “I don’t know what I’m doing, but let’s get this out to the world.”
As for the genesis of it all, she ultimately gave credit to her friend Lance Bass — from a well-known band that she and Kimmel couldn’t decide how to pronounce, before settling on “NS Yinc.”
When Applegate began telling her family and friends about her prognosis, it was Bass who guided her to join him. The Sopranos alum. The two girls hit it off immediately.
“It started as conversations and I was sitting there and we laughed and we cried and we talked for two hours, after which I don’t know which one of us said, ‘Let’s just report this,’” Applegate recalled. “Make it a thing because we felt like what we were talking about – we were being very raw and honest about how we felt – could help, and I think it should help people, I really do. ”
“And you don’t have to have multiple sclerosis to hear what we’re saying,” she insisted. “We discussed everything about constipation, I know, it doesn’t matter. We can help you with your constipation, we now have trading methods. We have excellent friends, except one.
That, as you can imagine, was Kimmel himself, who was present on the show but apparently not as awesome.

Martin Brief’s Favorite
This fake animosity and rivalry between the two comics turned into a ridiculous phase where they shared how much they were arguing over which one of them is Martin Brief favorite. Of course, that was a real factor.
They even tried to get the Only murders in the building star to return and brief them on an event, but he wouldn’t. But both Applegate and Kimmel insisted he met them privately afterward to tell them he was their favorite.
And so, with a beautiful look of shock, Brief uploaded a video to clear up the report once and for all. And he didn’t mince his sentences. After telling the pair, “I haven’t felt this level of competition for my love since my kids were five,” Short finally withdrew Band-Help.
“After a second of deliberation, the answer is J– Jj– Christina. Not even close,” said the comedian. “And even though Jimmy, you have those beautiful fertile hips, the truth is that Christina is an absolute delight and takes my breath away every time she walks into a room.”
“Jimmy, you are a worthwhile extra obligation. Like, if colonoscopy were individual”, he concluded, which is as clear as possible.
The main episode of Messed Up With Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler fell immediately.
