Liz Olson in Human High Country tells TMZ … people from all over the world have donated to the animal shelter in the week since Garrison died by suicide. The cat organization has received donations totaling over $13,000…and counting!
She confirms that she was the one who alerted Garrison’s mother, Janele Brownfor the outpouring of support… and then, Janelle shared his emotional reaction this week for this encouraging news.
Garrison and High Country Humane knew each other well – Liz tells us he adopted three of her cats – including the new addition, Mrs. Buttons – from the shelter over the past 2 years.
In response to the generosity shown by Garrison’s followers, HCH launched an initiative in his name that will help cats get adopted throughout the month of March.
Specifically, the money will cover adoption fees for any of the cats rescued during this effort.

The tributes don’t stop there… Liz tells us that the organization also plans to rename its cat adoption room in her honor. There will be a plaque unveiling and everything else at this month’s 5th anniversary celebration.
Ark Cat Sanctuary is also receiving monetary support following Garrison’s death. Cat RobertoYes, that’s actually her name, he tells TMZ… the organization has received more than $500 in donations from people all over the world, including some in Australia and Scotland.
Cat believes support from Garrison fans will help them stay open this year… after receiving $30,000 less in donations for 2024. She says the biggest help has been people buying items like wet food and milk substitutes for kittens from the sanctuary’s Amazon wish list.
It’s a small silver lining in an otherwise tragic story.
