It almost destroyed her.
Gwyneth Paltrow was angered when individuals known as Kourtney Kardashian’s wellness model, Poosh, became a “robbery” of her personal company, Goop.
“I was really upset when Poosh came out and other people said, ‘It’s a copy of Goop,’” the Oscar winner, 51, said. said People in a print interview Wednesday.
“I thought, ‘This is so terrible, and trying to turn us against each other, which is so crazy,’” she added.
Paltrow shared her insight that the world is “better and stronger” when women are “in cahoots” rather than competing with each other.
“I feel like patriarchy does this to us, where it makes us feel lacking and that there’s not enough for all of us to do our thing. And it’s so harmful,” she explained.
The backlash Kardashian, 44, faced while founding her wellness brand in 2019 left the “Shakespeare in Love” star even more overwhelmed when she and the “Kardashians” star decided to collaborate on a Goop x Poosh candle called “ This Smells Like My Pooshy” in 2022.

“I thought it was hilarious,” Paltrow said.
Paltrow’s candle with the Lemme creator was a play on the “Glee” alum’s controversial $75 Goop votive, which she famously called “This Smells Like My Vagina.”
“This candle started as a joke between perfumer Douglas Little and GP,” explained the website Goop at the time. “The two of them were working on a perfume and she blurted out, ‘Uhhh… this smells like vagina’ – but it evolved into this funny, beautiful, attractive and wonderfully surprising perfume. (This turned out to be good as a candle).
The actress also sells candles known as “This Smells Like My Orgasm” and “Palms Off My Vagina,” the latter of which honored the forty-ninth anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Wade with a donation from each sale going to the ACLU Foundation Reproductive Freedom Project.
Paltrow’s three-way partnership with Kardashian was her way of showing that there is no limitation on the number of women who can thrive in the wellness field — or any business for that matter.
“This idea that women should compete is bullshit inherited from the patriarchy – there is room for ALL women to achieve their goals,” she said after they came together.
The “Politician” star also confirmed her support for the “Holding Up With the Kardashians” alum model by sending her a personalized candle in 2021.
