Butati Dham is located near Kuchera town on the Ajmer, Nagaur road, 52 km from Nagaur in Rajasthan. It is also known as ‘Chaturdas Ji Maharaj’s temple’. This temple is actually the mausoleum of Chaturdas ji.
It is said that Saint Chaturdas ji resided here about five hundred years ago. Born in the Charan clan, he was a great Siddha Yogi and with his Siddhis he used to cure paralysis patients. Even today people take seven rounds of his Samadhi to get free from paralysis. Every year lakhs of paralysis patients and other devotees from all over the country come here, especially on the days of Ekadashi and Dwadashi.
A fair is held here on the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of every month. Apart from this, special fairs are organized throughout the month in the months of Vaishakh, Bhado and Magh.
This temple is famous for providing relief from paralysis by doing Sapta Parikrama. Here, paralysis patients have to stay here for seven days and take a parikrama every day. The first parikrama after the morning aarti and the second parikrama after the evening aarti, these two parikramas together are called one parikrama.
