Performance Technologies recorded organic growth and expansion of partnerships with its customers in new areas in the first half of 2024.
As the company’s management highlights, its profitable growth is the result of intensive investments since the beginning of 2022. At the same time, it places special emphasis on human resources.
In the last twelve months, the Performance Technologies team increased by 67 people, including young scientists and experienced market executives. This is the result of systematic efforts carried out over the previous 3 semesters, during which actions were intensified to attract, train and integrate high-level human resources recruitment activities in areas of greatest demand.
As of 01/01/2021, the number of Group employees increased by 122 people (92%), mainly for the reorganization and strengthening of the technological services departments (TSS), cloud computing (Cloud), enterprise software (ESS) , AI & Analytics and Public Sector. Management intends to maintain this high rate of business growth in the future and expects profitability to improve as new employees are assimilated and productivity increases.
Turnover increased by 40.2%
According to the financial results for the first half of 2024 on a consolidated basis, turnover increased by 40.2% (41% for the Company) compared to the same period last year, reaching 34.2 million euros. Gross margin increased by 25.8% (30% for the Company), to 9.3 million euros. Adjusted profit before taxes, financing, investment results and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 5.7% to €3.09 million, while profit before tax decreased by 14.3% to €2.1 million . As the company notes, this trend looks set to increase further by the end of 2024.
With regard to the recruitment and training of executives, the Performance Academy has already financed, since December 2023, three training cycles in Cyber Security and Enterprise Service Management (ESM/ITSM) technologies, through which the respective departments were staffed with 22 new IT scientists.
Furthermore, from the beginning of 2024, the company created the “Sales Enablement & Continuous Learning” department, which aims at the essential and continuous training of our people from all specialties and groups (technical and non-technical) in skills and behaviors (power /social skills). In total, in the first half of 2024, more than 3 thousand man-hours of internal training were carried out.
