A person was shot and killed by officers after police say he was seen repeatedly stabbing his mother on a residential road in Southern California … with the entire chaotic scene caught on video.
The Irvine Police Division has released body camera footage of an officer involved taking photos last month… when they say they shot and killed a 37-year-old man named Paul Montazer.
In the video, two officers arrive on the scene — guns pointed at a person crouched over a girl’s body on the sidewalk. One of the officers says into his radio that the person is actively stabbing her… before yelling at him to put the knife down.
The person, who police say is Paul, stops stabbing the woman — later identified as his 72-year-old mother. Parvin Montazer …and you will see him start to attack one of the police officers, who fires several shots, killing him.
According to the 911 call that led officers to the scene, Montazer and his mother apparently began arguing … when he chased her into the street with a knife.
The neighbor who called 911 told authorities that Paul was trying to get his mother to come back inside… by yelling at her.
The person on the 911 call said a good Samaritan tried to jump in and stop Montazer from attacking his mother…but was chased away.
Both Montazer and his mother were pronounced dead at the scene.
