Melissa Joan Hart is fully supporting those who share their Nickelodeon horror stories in the ‘Quiet on Set’ doc – although their time on the network has been great.
The actress – who worked with Nick on ‘Clarissa Explains It All’ – continued Meghan McCainin podcast this week to say that although she hasn’t seen the document yet…she believes and supports those who are coming forward to share their stories.
Melissa explains that she hasn’t personally heard any horror stories from any fellow Nickelodeon stars in their heyday while working for them, but says that doesn’t negate what was alleged.
She goes on to describe her own experience working at Nick – pointing out that she was at the Orlando location while working on her show – and suggests that this may be why nothing bad happened to her. MJH says she had a wonderful experience working as a child actress.
Melissa admits the hours were long – perhaps too long – at the end of the day she says she had fun and the team had her back – adding that “not every egg in the Nickelodeon basket is rotten.”
Melissa left the network in the mid-90s for “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”… well before Drake Bell went through what he did in the early 2000s.
As Melissa says, she believes everyone who speaks out… and is 100% protective. Like Kenan Thompson, however, she makes it clear that she was never actually victimized.
