Hero Xpulse 210 to launch in India soon with engine borrowed from Karizma, new features
Hero MotoCorp is gearing up for the launch of its flagship adventure motorcycle, the Hero Xpulse 210. The bike was recently spotted testing in northern India, en route to Khardungla, signaling that the company is putting it through its paces ahead of its official debut. As anticipation builds, here’s what we know so far about the upcoming Xpulse 210.
Design and Features
The Xpulse 210 promises a more muscular and rugged design compared to its predecessor, the Xpulse 200. The test model revealed a larger overall footprint, with notable design changes such as a round LED headlight, a compact visor, and a streamlined, purposeful build. These updates indicate that Hero is positioning the Xpulse 210 as a serious contender in the adventure bike segment.
Expected features include an LED headlight, a fully digital instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, multiple riding modes, and ABS. These additions are likely to increase the bike’s appeal to riders seeking convenience and performance.
Engine and performance
Under the hood, the Xpulse 210 is expected to share the same 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine as the recently launched Karizma XMR. This engine produces 25.15 BHP and 20.4 Nm of torque on the Karizma, but Hero is likely to tweak the engine tuning for the Xpulse 210 to suit its adventure-focused nature. The engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox, and the bike is expected to offer better on-road performance, including higher top speeds and stronger pull at higher revs, addressing a common criticism of the current Xpulse 200.
Suspension and Braking
The bike will likely feature long-travel telescopic front forks with gaiters and a monoshock at the rear, designed to handle rough terrain. The braking system is expected to consist of disc brakes at both ends, mounted on spoked wheels with tubed tires, increasing the bike’s off-road capability.
Additionally, Hero MotoCorp may offer adjustable suspension and a rally kit as optional upgrades, similar to what is currently available for the Xpulse 200.
Expected launch and pricing
The Hero Xpulse 210 is expected to make its official debut in the coming months. While no official pricing has been announced, it is likely to be positioned at a higher price point than the Xpulse 200, owing to its modern engine architecture and improved features. With these updates, the Xpulse 210 is all set to cater to adventure enthusiasts looking for a more powerful and versatile machine.
As testing continues and more details emerge, the Xpulse 210 could become a major player in the adventure motorcycle market, offering a blend of performance, practicality and advanced features.
