A Texas police officer has a lot of potential as an alligator wrestler when he’s ready to retire… because new bodycam footage shows him wrestling with the baby reptile.
The incident — which occurred last Friday in Fulshear, Texas — was captured on body camera footage, showing an officer going to a home to remove the alligator from the property.
Watch the clip… the officer walks up to the scaly creature very calmly — saying he got a call. Instead of calling animal control, he took care of the matter — since it’s not a huge alligator.
It’s certainly not huge… but those teeth look pretty sharp — and there’s a pretty tense confrontation between the officer and his hostile foe.
In the end, the police officer manages to control the alligator… leaving with the creature and receiving some applause from the people watching on the street.
Fulshear police posted about the incident on Facebook … saying their officer handled it because you can “take the kid out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the kid.”
It’s worth noting… alligator fighting in the area isn’t unusual — the police department says it’s a sort of rite of passage for its officers.
Looks like this is just another day on the job for a Texas police officer… no guns or gloves required!
