Yankees outfielder Oscar González is currently resting in a hospital – this after he broke his eye socket in a scary moment during an exhibition game on Monday night.
Gonzalez was at the plate midway through NY’s game against the Diablos Rojos del Mexico in Mexico City when he was thrown in – and the foul knocked the ball right into his face.

Video from the game broadcast shows the 26-year-old immediately suffering pain… as coaches rushed onto the field to tend to him.
He was eventually taken from the diamond in a golf cart — and transported to a nearby hospital, where Yankees officials say he was diagnosed with a right orbital fracture.
Gonzalez spent the night at the medical center and is expected to undergo more tests on Tuesday.
Gonzalez had just joined the Yankees this offseason after showing promise during the previous two seasons in Cleveland.
He was performing well in spring training before suffering the scary injury — recording a .333 batting average, one home run and six RBIs in 16 games. He was expected, however, to begin the season in the minor leagues.
