Travis Kelce is returning to his Cleveland roots after traveling the world with Taylor Swift.
Over the weekend, the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end returned to “The Land” and went to Geraci’s Slice Shop in downtown Cleveland for pizza. Kelce — who grew up in Cleveland Heights — was photographed inside the venue (sans Swift), keeping a low profile with black sunglasses and a baseball cap.
A photo shared by the restaurant shows the three-time Super Bowl champion standing next to a blue pay phone inside the establishment and directly beneath a neon sign that says, “Talk to me about pizza.”
“When NFL star and Heights legend @killatrav swings at Geraci’s Slice Shop, you know it’s going to be a touchdown-worthy slice!” the restaurant wrote in a post on Instagram. “Next time bring Taylor 😉 🏈🍕.”
ET spoke with Geraci’s co-owner Chelsea Williams, who said that when she served Kelce her fresh, hot slices — one pepperoni and another called Hot Tito’s (pepperoni, sausage and a drizzle of hot honey) — he was excited to enjoy a weekend in his hometown.
“He was very polite, super kind,” Williams said. “I asked him if he wouldn’t mind taking a photo for our social media and he was more than happy to oblige.”
She added that he was definitely recognized by other customers at the establishment, but that they let the Cleveland native enjoy his pie in peace with some friends.
“I’m sure most of the people around (noticed him), but you know the Clevelanders, they just left him alone,” Williams shared.
The stop in her northeast Ohio hometown follows a trip to the Bahamas that Kelce took with Swift, 34, in mid-March. The pair were spotted on the island of Eleuthera by some eagle-eyed vacationers who sent the photos for online celebrity blog DeuxMoi.
Although the photos are extremely grainy, two figures in gray hoodies can be seen walking up a dock and apparently holding hands following the conclusion of the singer’s Asian and Australian legs of her Eras Tour.
In mid-March, the football player talked about his “unique” trip to Singaporewhen he traveled to one of Swift’s concerts, something he’s had more time to do since winning the Super Bowl with the Chiefs in February.
“I got to see two amazing shows from the Eras Tour, the last of the leg that Taylor will have until she comes back here in a few months,” Travis told his brother, Jason Kelce, on an episode of his New heights podcast – a nickname that plays on Cleveland Heights’ childhood and early years. “Other than that, I managed to eat some lovely Singaporean food and just enjoy the view.”
During their stay in Singapore, the couple was captured by fans enjoying intimate moments, including a casual date night at a local mall. Swift later took to Instagram to express their gratitude to their dedicated fans and the incredible experience of performing in Singapore, signaling the end of the Australia and Asia leg of the tour.
Swift is currently on a brief hiatus from her record-breaking world tour before resuming shows in May, kicking off the European leg in Paris, France.
But not everything is restful as at the end of this month she will release her long-awaited 11th studio album Department of Tortured Poets. The album, which she announced at the Grammys after gaining its 13th statue, it will be released on April 19th.
