Is Jax Taylor keeping money that should go to a cancer charity?
Because the fans had a very different impression.
In early 2024, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright split. And the apparent end of the marriage did not put an end to the drama.
With Vanderpump Rules on hiatusfrom them mess is spreading on social media. This includes the accusation that Jax is pocketing money that should go to charity.
Is Jax Taylor keeping the money he makes on Cameo?
On Saturday, August 10th, Brittany Cartwright took to her Instagram Story to accuse her ex-husband, Jax Taylor, of some seriously shady business dealings.
Originally, Jax assured fans that the money they paid him through Cameo would become charitable donations. Specifically, he said that at least a portion of his earnings would go toward esophageal cancer research.
Cameo is a personalized video app that celebrities of all levels of fame can use. Fans request a short video — sometimes as a joke gift or a birthday present or simply for themselves — and a famous person spends 30 seconds or so talking into their phone. A diligent Cameo creator can make thousands of dollars a day doing this.
According to Brittany Cartwright, Jax did not follow through on his charity promise on Cameo.
She fired off her accusation in her story, claiming he didn’t pay her even “a penny” of those earnings.
Jax’s father passed away in 2017 after a battle with esophageal cancer. Brittany’s claim really cuts to the heart of her character as a person… and also signals that she’s not holding back.
As The Valley viewers can attest that Jax Taylor took advantage of the series premiere to performatively sit down with his laptop and review his guest appearance requests.
This served as an advertisement for their Cameo services. and a way to boost his image on the show. He’s essentially showing how many people are willing to pay him to make a short personalized video.
Not every reality show would allow one of its actors to promote themselves in such a blatant way. But you have to admit, it fits right in with Jax’s brand.
Interestingly, Special guest appearance by Jax Taylor The account no longer shows the original intro video — the one with the promise to donate to cancer research.
Its new intro simply sings its own praises and lists reasons why you might buy one — whether it’s a birthday message, a friendly toast, or an offer of advice.Who are you getting life advice from Jax?)
Oh, and then there’s the price. The starting price for a Jax Taylor Cameo is $128. And according to his ex, Jax Taylor is keeping that money for himself.
‘The Valley’ is filming season 2
Even with Vanderpump Rules on hiatus — but don’t worry; more is coming — the messy, chaotic lives of Bravolebrities continue.
We’ll see a good deal of this in The Valley Season 2.
One has to wonder if Jax Taylor will continue to promote his Cameo. With his estranged wife calling him out, less attention could serve you better.
