On Wednesday (8/7), Turkey is expected to formally submit to the International Court of Justice in The Hague its request to intervene in South Africa’s appeal against Israel for genocide, the Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the Council of Ministers meeting in Ankara.
“The legal committee of our Parliament we will present our request for intervention at the Hague Tribunal on August 7, the Turkish president said, stressing that with the martyrdom of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniya, a new threshold has been crossed in the Gaza crisis.

He accused the West and especially the United States of being “unfortunately captives of Israel and a handful of Zionist fanatics”, stressing that the ceasefire talks had not brought any promising results.
“No matter what the blood-stained genocide network does, it will not be able to stop the solidarity of Turkey and the Turkish nation with the Palestinian people,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, stressing that “Turkey stands by Palestine in these difficult days, which is fighting for its existence” and said that a strong Turkey will be the guarantor of peace in the region.
