A pole vaulter walks away empty-handed because his pole broke… no, not the one he uses to vault — the one barely contained by his leotard!
Anthony Ammirati — a prominent French pole vaulter — had his first heat on Saturday morning… and although he hoped to clear the bar and make it to the finals, he ended up getting his smaller vaulting pole caught in the balance beam.
French athlete Anthony Ammirati failed the 5.70m pole vault because of his disability. #I’M SURE #Paris2024 https://t.co/qWnr1QbFzy

Check out the clip… AA climbs up nicely, but when he’s coming down, he ends up knocking the bar over with his impressive volume — and the bar falls.
Because of the penis thrust, Ammirati was unable to clear the 5.70 meters, which may have been enough to put him in the next heat… and get him one step closer to competing for a medal.
Instead, Anthony’s Olympic dreams were over… all because he failed to keep everything safe.
BTW… the high water mark in the pole vault was 5.75 meters — a difference of less than a foot from Ammirati’s score. Size really did matter here!
Moral of the story…keep your hips well away from the beam — or you might start cringing like the stars of “RuPaul’s Drag Race!!!”
