Really? Kate Middleton using an impersonator?
Has it really come to this?
Last weekend, Kate Middleton was seen out and about in London, shopping at a farmers market with her husband, Prince William, and looking happy and healthy.
This sighting seemed to put an end to all conspiracy theories about Middleton’s health… about two months after she underwent abdominal surgery and then disappeared from public life.
Except, no. This did not put an end to these conspiracy theories.
Why?
Because people like Andy Cohen questioned the validity of this video, even claiming that the Royal Family used a body double to just do this seem as if Middleton was outside, happy and healthy.
Not even. People are believing these things nowadays.
Kate Middleton impersonator Heidi Agan responds to rumors
Speculation grew so much that Heidi Agan – a well-known Kate Middleton lookalike – issued a statement to The mirror is for TMZ.
“Obviously, there was some speculation about whether it was Kate and William in that footage and photos,” she said in response to questions about Middleton’s most recent appearance.
“Actually, my social media has gone crazy because people think it’s me, but I know it’s not. I was at work at the time, so I know it’s not me.
“I 100 percent believe it’s Kate Middleton and William in that video.”
So does this solve everything?
Probably not.
Where is Kate Middleton?
The lack of information from Kensington Palace about the type of surgery Middleton underwent on January 16 has left many observers confused and concerned.
Middleton then disappeared, only to reveal a new family portrait in honor of Mother’s Day in the UK – which ended up being heavily edited.
Nobody really has any idea what’s going on.
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate,” said the palace after this mysterious procedure.
“She hopes the public understands her desire to maintain as much normalcy as possible for her children; and her desire that her personal medical information remain private.
“Kensington Palace will therefore only provide updates on HRH’s progress when there is significant new information to share.”
Fair.
And Kate Middleton is entitled to at least some level of privacy.
But she is not expected to resume royal duties until the end of April at this time, and the Royal Family’s handling of her condition has led to understandable scrutiny.
Heidi Agan’s career
Egan, in turn, began working as a Kate Middleton lookalike, available for hire at parties and corporate events in 2012.
She is also a teacher.
“My social media has gone crazy since the video came out. It wasn’t me,” she added to The Mirror this week.
“Joking about Kate is one thing but we need to give her a break now and I’m sure she’ll be back after Easter as was said in the first place.
“Since Kate had surgery, I’ve been doing shows where I’ve walked in and people have said ‘there’s Kate’, so it all started as a joke around ‘we found Kate’, but now it should really stop.”
