The Kremlin said today that “nothing good happened Russia» of his presidency Donald Trump in the US, but at least there was a dialogue between Moscow and Washington, an element “which is probably positive in itself”.
Dmitry Peskov said in a video conference with reporters when asked about statements Trump made about his past working relationship with President Vladimir Putin.
“As for whether (Putin and Trump) are getting along or not, under Trump nothing good has happened for Russia,” Peskov argued.
“On the contrary, more and more restrictions were imposed (on Russia). But despite all this, there was dialogue. This can probably be considered a positive element.”
Peskov said that Russia and Putin are topics traditionally presented during the election campaign in the United States.
