After more than three years of growth, the Los Angeles Chargers are formally opening their new $250 million state-of-the-art training facility and corporate headquarters.
“The Bolt” encompasses a 150,000-square-foot complex in El Segundo, just a few miles from SoFi Stadium, which sits on 14 acres and contains three natural grass observation fields.
The main entrance includes a Chargers Stroll of Fame, inspired by the famous Hollywood landmark. Step inside the building and the grand atrium is highlighted by a dramatic three-story Samsung ISC indoor LED video wall.
On one side of the foyer is a dedicated press conference room, and Samsung partner screens display approximately 250 programmable displays throughout the facility. The ground floor of the Chargers’ new home also features a locker room, equipment room, training and medical room, weight room, hydrotherapy room, recovery room, sauna, steam room, barber shop, participant lounges and direct access to the viewing areas. A pair of Samsung XRB outdoor “ribbon” LED displays are installed outside the building, running through the area, to provide statistics and messages.
The open-air home features a lap/rehabilitation pool and an outdoor lounge space with a barbecue, fire pit and Samsung’s “The Terrace” 4K QLED outdoor TVs. The home is designed for attendee use as well as events.
The second floor features a dining room and kitchen — operated by Wolfgang Puck Catering — complete with a Chargers helmet-inspired pizza oven, a meat buffet, a smoothie and occasional beverage bar, a pasta station, a grilling station and a salad bar.
The higher grounds will be highlighted by a soon-to-be-completed members-only association featuring a wraparound outdoor veranda and lounge overlooking the viewing fields. The association will also include an elegant dining space and a private dining room, which will also be accessible as an event venue.
The fashion complex also houses workplaces, meeting rooms, and post-production facilities for creating video content. Verizon is offering a personal 5G community at full capacity.
“We anticipate the Olympics (2028), the World Cup (2026), the Super Bowl (2027) — this facility can be used as a multi-purpose facility for any number of those things,” said Chargers director of partnerships Corey Norkin. Selection.
Tours will be available to introduce fans to The Bolt (bookings can be made online) on July 13 and 14. Fans can also pre-register to watch practice sessions.
