Dan Schneider, creator of iconic children’s shows like ‘The Amanda Show,’ ‘Drake & Josh,’ ‘Zoey 101,’ ‘iCarly,’ ‘Victorious,’ and more, denies sexualizing his young stars like Ariana Grande, Jennette McCurdy and Jamie Lynn Spears.
Dan Schneider has pursued allegations of strange and likely inappropriate conduct at the units of his numerous Nickelodeon has been revealing for some time now, but the launch of the ID documentary series Silence on the set: the dark side of children’s TV is shining with enough light that Schneider responded.
The new collection gives a sneak peek at some of their shows, including All of this, Kenan and Kel, Icarly, Zoey 101, Victorious, Drake and Josh, The Gift Amandaand extras. These shows brought joy to a generation of fans, but the series shows how painful it was for some of those involved.

According to part one of the two-part docu-series premiering Sunday night (part two premieres tonight), a representative for Schneider said Selection“Everything that happened in the revelations Dan made was meticulously vetted by dozens of concerned adults and approved by the community.”
“If there was a specific problem with the scenes that some people, now years later, are ‘sexualizing,’” the statement continued, “they would be taken down, but it doesn’t seem like they are shown continuously all the time. however, all over the world today, loved by children and the elderly.”
“Please remember that all stories, dialogue, costumes and makeup were fully authorized by community executives on both coasts,” the representative said. “A standards and practices group read and ultimately authorized each script, and programming executives reviewed and authorized all episodes.”
What I can verify, however, is that he was an idiot.
“Additionally, every day on each set, there were always parents, caregivers and their friends watching the filming and rehearsals,” the statement continued. “If there were scenes or costumes that were inappropriate in any way, they would have been flagged and blocked by this multi-layered scrutiny.”
“Unfortunately, some adults direct their adult minds toward children’s programs, drawing false conclusions about them,” the consultant’s statement concluded.
Although Schneider has vehemently denied any “sexualizing” intent behind everything he filmed for his myriad of series, the prolific creator has acknowledged and expressed remorse following allegations that he constantly requested neck massages from crew members.

“Dan deeply regrets asking anyone for neck massages,” his group said. “Although they occurred in public settings, he knows this was highly inappropriate and would never happen again.”
A Nickelodeon community spokesperson also responded to the channel with comments.
“While we cannot corroborate or deny allegations of behavior from productions many years ago, Nickelodeon, for the sake of coverage, investigates all formal complaints as part of our commitment to promoting a safe and professional office environment free from harassment or different types of inappropriate conduct”, he learns.
“Our highest priorities are the well-being and best interests of not only our staff, cast and crew, but of all children,” the statement continued, “and we have adopted a number of safeguards over the years to help ensure that living according to our own extreme needs and the expectations of our viewers.

The community echoed the extraordinary scrutiny of every set, every scene, every joke, from executives and veterans to Nickelodeon’s expert management department.
“Every single thing Dan did on any of his shows was meticulously vetted and approved by Nickelodeon executives,” said former president of content and production Russell Hicks.

Although she questioned her former colleague about ideas of inappropriate physical conduct – at least during the time she worked with him – Berg was unsupportive in other areas, calling Schneider “an idiot” and “psychological tormentor.” who stole her 20s from her.

She said she worked with Schneider as his assistant for less than a year — her “FIRST first job in the city.” She said she had to have surgery to correct her arrhythmia, which impacted her personal life and caused her an anxiety disorder when “confronted with other manipulators”.
