Six people died and at least eight were injured in Seoul when a car crashed into pedestrians near city hall, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap. The agency quotes a police officer who says the number of victims could increase.
The incident happened at approximately 9:30 pm local time (3:30 pm Greek time).
On-site investigation
One employee was quoted as saying that The driver of the vehicle was approximately 70 years old.
Another police officer told Reuters that an investigation was underway at the scene.
He declined to provide further information.
