With a summer vacation full of joy, vitality, fun, music, dance and games, the Kindergartens of the Sacred Metropolis of Nea Ionia, Philadelphia, Heraklion and Chalkidon under the name “Ionian Education” bid farewell, on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Eurobank Conference Center in Nea Ionia, to a school year rich in educational and artistic activities, transmitting everywhere a message of hope and optimism.
The celebration was attended by the Reverend Metropolitan of Nea Ionia, Philadelphia, Heraklion and Chalkidon Mr. Gabriel, clergy of the Holy Metropolis, representatives of local clubs and refugee associations, parents and a crowd of spectators of all ages.
The celebration was prefaced by the Director of the three Kindergartens of the Holy Metropolis of Panosiol. Chief Ilias Karatzas, who referred to the responsible and at the same time demanding work of the educational units of the Holy Metropolis, which, with their specialized educational staff, have supported the Greek family for many years, contributing decisively both to the development of the emotional world of children, and the valorization of their initial skills, in a school context full of love, coherence and respect for the values of tradition and education.
A greeting was also delivered by Eurobank’s Head of Public Relations, Ms. Stefania Raptopoulou, who welcomed those present and all participants of the celebration.
Without a doubt, everyone’s hearts and admiration were won by the little protagonists of the holiday, the children of the Kindergartens of the Sacred Metropolis, who, with their smiles and spontaneity, presented, through singing and dancing, scenes from the creation of the world, under the artistic supervision and direction of the performer and actor Mr. Zacharias Karounis.
The celebration ended with a greeting addressed by His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Gabriel, who expressed his joy and satisfaction with the responsible educational work carried out in the Kindergartens of the Holy Metropolis and congratulated both the children for their bright festive presence, as well as the teachers responsible for the task, which they carry out with prudence and responsibility.
